QPR Software Plc and the joint organization for Finnish council’s IT-services, KuntaIT (“the Council-IT), announced today, that Finnish councils will start to use QPR ProcessGuide as their mutual process modeling software solution as of the beginning of February. With the service and software, the councils will model their process in a unified and comprehensive way. QPR ProcessGuide was chosen after a  public tender. QPR Software Plc, the leading process management solution provider in Finland, will also provide the technical implementation of a process model bank.

With the help of the software and the supporting process bank, the councils and other communal actors like federations on municipalities, can model their processes in a unified way and get to know the best practices in other councils.

The aim is to model in a comprehensive and unified way the processes of communal service production. The development work is accelerated by collecting process models and best practices nationwide and from communities of all sizes. The service aims also to support the replication of the practices and service models of the public sector by using information and communication technology.

Councils joining the service will get free access to process modeling, analyzing and development tools and in to the process bank. The bank will contain alternative models for describing the current and wanted states of their communal service provisions. When doing this, the councils can choose models fitting best to their operational environment and resources or modes of operations.

KuntaIT supports the service implementation by organizing a nationwide training road-show during spring 2008. During the training, the participants will learn process thinking, different ways to model processes and the use of QPR ProcessGuide.

The acquisition will be executed as SaaS-type (Service as a Software) solution rental.
