Automated Process Discovery and Analysis - Case SAP ERP
9 November, London, United Kingdom
Presentation by Mr. Teemu Lehto, VP, Business Development, QPR Software Plc and Mr. Peter Aiken, Founder, Data Blueprint & President, DAMA International at the Data Management, Information Quality and DW/BI Conference Europe 2011
Organizations spend a lot of resources for manually modeling and discovering business processes. However, this traditional method is vulnerable to human interpretation, relies on subjective data, lacks objective validation techniques and is time-consuming and costly. Automated Business Process Discovery and Analysis (ABPD) utilises data stored in operative IT systems, like ERP systems. ABPD algorithms discover all process variations, show business processes in graphical format; point out bottlenecks and provide accurate measurement results; BPD applied to ERP systems like SAP help organizations to save costs, speed up the process, make better quality; and Facilitates compliance with agreed practices and re-document IT system usage.
